SVU Technical Showcase

     Hello everyone! I want to thank those of you who recognized us and commented on our blog : ) It was really nice to hear from you all. I do want to apologize for taking a little longer to write about the SVU technical showcase held the second day of the conference (Friday). Here are the highlights on what was discussed that morning.

     Julia Dmitrieva introduced several representatives. Each of them took a few minutes to show their products.

1. A GE representative introduced the Logiq S8 ultrasound machine which is a smaller version of the Logiq E9 and has a similar design. He also showed us the B-FLOW technology on the system.
2. PHILLIPS representative showed us the IU22 phillips ultrasound system with XMATRIX 2D probe. This probe takes ultra thin image slices for better imaging and has steering capabilities.
3. The REVO Model 110 machine for physiological testing was introduced. This machine allows physician to quickly evaluate their patients to determine if they need to be seen at a vascular lab for further testing. 
4. An EMR and Pacs system called MedStreaming was introduced by a rep.
5. Super Sonic imaging introduced a new technology similar to color Doppler. This technology determines the stiffness of a lesion in tissue. A color scale is used to determine how hard it is. VERY COOL!
6. Last but not least, Unetixs Inc Vascular rep took a few minuted to talk about their products.
